Cons

Diaspora's Shipping Policy

Diaspora offers domestic US economy shipping for a flat rate of $8 for orders under $70 and free for orders over $70. Standard shipping costs $14, and expedited shipping costs $40. International shipping costs vary based on the weight of the order and the shipping tier selected, but most international shipping costs around $20. Shipping times start from the day the order is shipped, not the day it is ordered. Economy shipping takes 8-10 days, standard shipping takes 6-8 days, and expedited shipping takes 1-2 days. Diaspora ships to Canada, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and the EU. Customs and duties are calculated and applied at checkout to avoid orders being held at customs. Currently, they are unable to ship to the UK due to VAT restrictions.

Diaspora's Return Policy

Diaspora Co. has a customer-focused return policy that allows customers to return unopened and unused spices within 30 days of receiving the order for a full refund. However, opened spices cannot be returned due to food safety and sanitary protocols. For non-food items such as masala dabbas, sweatsuits, tadka spoons, totes, and dishtowels, customers can request a return label within 30 days of receiving the item. Customers are responsible for the shipping costs of returning the item, and the company cannot offer refunds for items that are returned in anything less than like-new condition.
